Building Regulations

According to a letter dated 30th July 2013, and issued by the Department for Communities and Local Government, “in certain circumstances an existing conservatory or porch can no longer be considered exempt from the requirement of Building Regulations if the amount of glazing in either the walls or roof is significantly reduced by further work or alteration”.

The roof system used by Thermolite has been independently tested and certified by JHAI, an accredited national building control approvals agency. These tests involve detail analysis and verification of the roof system from independently sourced structural calculations figures, along with further assessment checks on thermal performance and condensation resistance.

As a result our roofs are fully compliant with Building Regulations and have JHAI system approval. Meaning we can provide you with a Building Regulation “Final Certificate” on completion.

Dear Thermolite Customers,

In light of the messages from the British government regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19), Thermolite have decided to close installation operations for the time being, as of close of business Friday 27th March.

The closure of the operations will be carried out in a way that enables a return to business again with as short notice as possible.

I would like to reassure you that it is only our installations that are closed. We will continue to process orders and inquiries safely from a home working environment to support our valuable customers. All orders will be processed with an expected date, which will be confirmed as soon as we are operational again. This, therefore, mitigates the timeline of supply for our customers.

I would like to thank all of our customers for their understanding and support in what are very difficult times for us all and will keep you updated as soon as we have any further news!
